Color Fun

My antidote for grim news and ugly politics: A sewing machine and a glorious rainbow of flannels turned into receiving blankets for refugee babies. The idea of little ones wrapped in color and comfort helps me ignore
 the havoc on today's television.

This is a beautiful idea! Not only distracts you but is a gift of love. Makes my way of distracting myself--DVDs of Gilmore Girls--fall short. Very good!

"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." (Romans 12:21)

And so you have...

Kindness is never wasted, and yours will not only touch those mothers and babies who receive your gift, but also those of us standing on the sidelines looking on.

How wonderful to have these beautiful blankets for those in need. I know they will bring big smiles to kids and parents when they get them. If the whole world would do something nice instead of fighting and making the news so grim, wouldn't it be a great world?

awwwww...so sweet! I do volunteer work at hospital holding AIDS babies whose moms are not up to taking care of them. Blankets like those would definitely cheer the place up!
Good Job!

These colors are life itself. How appropriate that they embrace new life.
