White Birds of Paradise

Three Giant Birds of Paradise with bluish-purple tongues
and white plumage (sepals) grace our backyard jungle today.

Strelitzia Nicolai are among the rare plants that contain the Bilirubin pigment,
 usually found in animals.
These enchanting flowers are followed by triangular seed capsules.

So beautiful, Becky. We are enjoying tiny green buds on trees. Spring is very late this year in Chicago.

Fondly,
Glenda
