Yes, our summer home is in Iowa, our winter home in Florida. We're summer people :)

I love this time of year here in Ohio..so I won't start my envy of you until the first snow flake. Then I'll look back here and sigh and think.."Yep, I could live there!" Travel safe and enjoy your beautiful home and scenery! Your pics are amazing!

Oh those skies...and that water. Lovely. "Lovely beyond any singing of it." Sun diamonds shimmering along the crests and furrows of the deep, and dew diamonds scattered on the morning grass are the jewels of my paradise.

I don't dare show these pictures to my husband. He would move to the beach if he could and we've not been in a year and a half. And with a daughter who lives close to one we must go soon.

You leave before the autumn color, though?

Hi Becks. Hope your trip down south went smoothly. Keep sending over that sun we had the most gorgious weather the last week and I'll settle for this until xmas. Then I need loads of puffy snow (cause I bought myself a nice warm winter duffle coat at Eddie Bauer which I wanna try out).

I'll send you pictures ;-)))
Hugs to you and yours and I wish you THE most spectaculair time at the sea side

Hello dear Becky, visiting your space after a long time. I was browsing through one of my older posts and came across your comment and was so glad to see your blog up and running in full steam. Always feels wonderful to stop by and say 'hello' :) Wish you a safe and happy journey.

You do have to re-route for hurricanes, don't you? We lived in Tallahassee for a while, and those seasons of hurricane winds send me into panic mode.

Hope all is well down south Becky...enjoy! xx

Rosaria,
hurricanes? what hurricanes? We haven't ever had a hurricane in Venice...there's something about the lay of the land that seems to defy them...we've come close but we're up north when they happen. I actually slept through a tropical storm a day after 9/11...got up the next morning to trees and streetlights down. Closest I've ever come and it was over before I knew it.
