Our church library held a book giveaway and I scored this tiny antique treasure of a German songbook.
It measures just 3 x 4.5 inches and carries ancient carols for Christmas...
perfect for my Christmas tree tableau.
O Tannenbaum, o Tannenbaum
Your branches green delight us!
They are green when summer days are bright,
They are green when winter snow is white.
O tannenbaum, o Tannenbaum
Your branches green delight us!

Hello Becky
Beautiful picture of a beautiful samlebog.
The beautiful Christmas song I will never forget - I learned in school (in German)
Wish you a good week-end.
PS! DMI has announced snowstorm here in the morning ....
Hugs Hanne Bente
I love the book and how you used it, as well.
I have been listening to lots of carols.
Fondly,
Glenda
Sweet! Do you read/play music?
Oh how nice! That's a really fun way to display this treasure. Enjoy it and the carols..they are the best part of this season.
You found a little treasure at your church library giveaway and that's a lovely way to display and use it. I have old family devotional books like that. The print is so small I often wonder - how could they read such tiny writing, especially on a regular basis? But with songs and carols I can hear the tune in my head.
