Countdown, Day 22: Gifts of Gold...

Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem.
When they saw the star over the house, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy and going in, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him.
Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts~~
gold and frankincense and myrrh.
Matthew 2:1, 10-11

Hello Becky
Beautiful image - love to see your posts here before Christmas.
Thanks for your comment on my blog ...... tomorrow you may receive a reunion with Christmas tree from the past and - and the Christmas tree this year ......... "a small artificial tree", seemed to the resource game to buy a large Christmas tree - to throw it out a few days later ..... think of the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen "Fir Tree".
Wish you a good day / good weekend :)
Hugs Hanne Bente

now see . . .
i can't help but ever wonder . . .
if the three wisemen had been three
wisewomen . . .
the gifts would probably have been diapers and blankets and booties.
much more sensible than frankincense and myrrh!
have loved these advent posts dear heart!
