Peace Like A River

I've got peace like a river,
I've got peace like a rivier,
I've got peace like a river in my soul.
~~Traditional American hymn

It's early in the morning on the Orange River in Fort Myers, Florida
and I've come to Blossom's for a cup of coffee.
The river is steamy like the coffee. Misty. Mysterious. Reflective.
A few states north, tornadoes have torn up the landscape.
I wish them peace.
Like a river.

Tornado season is upon us. I pray for protection for all of us ... and peace like a river, for sure.

Fondly,
Glenda

So sad when the weather is so horrendous. Peace Like a River is one of my favorite books.

It's been a long time since I've heard that song and tonight is the perfect night for it.

Good morning Becky.
Beautiful pictures you show - but there are no crocodiles there?
I do not like reptiles - snakes neither electricity.
Wishing you a good day.

Peace like a River is one of my favorite books. By Leif Enger. Lovely story - a tad of magical realism. Sort of like the photos of your river. Magical and real. Lovely.

Hello Becky.
Thank you for your comment.
The weather here is not as good as with you - but we have sun + 11.4 degrees - nice spring weather.
We will have afternoon tea in the garden.
Wishing you a good day.
Hugs Hanne Bente ♥

I agree, Becky. We are living in perilous times. May we continue to pray for peace.
God Bless You!!!

There's no place I'd rather be than by the water.

Between the school shooting incident and the tornadoes, Ohioans could use 'peace like a river' as long as that river doesn't flood! (We're in flooding season now in my area.)
Beautiful photo with peace emanating from it.
Thanks for your thoughtful comment on my corner view post. It took me a few years to get over the hurt, but once I let God take over completely, everything fell into place.

This is gorgeous, Becky. The mist and reflections bring depth to the image and questions to my soul. I want to go into the mist and see what it holds...
