Running Lessons

The Five S's of sports training are: Stamina, Speed, Strength, Skill and Spirit;
but the greatest of these is Spirit.
~~Ken Doherty

Lesson One:
Get ready. Dress for the occasion.
Lesson Two:
Stand in line and wait your turn.
This is 20-month-old Landon, ready for a 1-3-year-old 100-meter kids' race.

Lesson Three:
When they count down from 3, to 2, to 1, and say "GO!" you can go!!!
It's fun to run!

Lesson Four:
My mom doesn't need to carry me.
I can do it myself!

Lesson Five:
 Sometimes I fall down...

...it hurts, but I can get back up...

...and go again!

Lesson Six:
I finish what I start.

Lesson Seven:
When Mom likes what I do, we do high-fives!

...and Dad rides me on his shoulders.

You have a choice.
You can throw in the towel,
or use it to wipe the sweat off your face.

Oh good. I was afraid this post was going to be about teaching me to run. And that wouldn't be pretty. I much preferred the adorable pics :)

Aw, how sweet was that. I guess I am nearing the time of becoming a grandparent in the next few years. Seems odd. Seems like mine were just born.

Enjoyed this.

Hello Becky.
Thanks for your comment on my blog.
Beautiful pictures you show ..... I choose to wipe smith on not throwing the towel ..... NEVER GIVE UP!
We have no real winter in Denmark - but have had a couple of days where there are fallen "a little" snow, but nothing has been lying.
Tomorrow fell again "a little" snow - but it is thawed again .....
Puts the ball into the maybe tomorrow with today's snowfall.
Wishing you a very good day.
Hugs Hanne Bente ♥

So for now my friend. Have a great day and talk soon.

oh good grief!
he went from baby to toddler too soon! he's adorable. what is it about little tow-headed people? they are like miniature angels.
one of my favorite pics is of him asleep. you can see the faint blue-ish tinge on his eyelids and he had silky angel hair even then.
i admire your family for its running spirit! i admire from the sidelines. lol.
love,
tammy j
