Walking on Water, Part II

And the Pied Piper said, "We're making water!!!"
And there was water.
Clear, flowing water.

"Retrospect" pedestal sink: American Standard. "Boardwalk" brushed nickel sink fixture: Moen.

Valentin, the tile guy, asked us not to get the walls wet
for 10 days so the grout boost would cure properly.
What? No showering for ten days?
I guess we'll just admire the new showerhead
while we bathe in the tub.

Subway tile: American Olean. "Boardwalk" showerhead: Moen.
"Hotel" extra-long shower curtain liner, curtain rod, rings: Bed, Bath & Beyond.

"Boardwalk" brushed nickel fixtures: Moen.

Sorrow can be alleviated by good sleep, a bath and a glass of wine.
~~St. Thomas Aquinas

"Memoirs" toilet: Kohler.

The vintage terrazzo, circa 1970, provides seamless flooring throughout the house~~
we'll never interrupt it with tile or carpet.
And we love the automatic close on the lid of the stool!

The easy-breezy vintage jalousie window with etched glass
means no privacy curtains are necessary.

Tray, dispenser: TJMaxx. Soap dish, sponge: Pier 1. Water jar: Pottery Barn.

And check this out~
I found a place for my proppy water jar on top of the tank. :)

Martha Stewart Living "Placid" mirror: Martha Stewart. Towels and hooks: IKEA.
"Sterling Blue" paint: Sherwin-Williams. "Retrospective" pedestal sink: American Standard.

Storage cabinet, towels: IKEA

It's difficult to photograph in this 5' x 7' room,
especially with reflective surfaces playing havoc with my automatic camera...
However, smooth, shiny surfaces always dance light around the room,
making a small space an airy place.
I could have waited for daylight for better photography
but I wanted to post this before Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Love love love it. I'm so happy you kept the terrazzo floors. Why would you cover up such a work of art? They keep a Florida house so cool in the summertime too. Beautiful styling & details. Now go take a bubblebath & relax before you start cooking that turkey :D

Happy Thanksgiving & take good care!

Hello Becky.
Thanks for your sweet comment.
The pictures are from the 2005 storm, we've had cottage of Fur, but sold it last year.
We had to check the house was intact after the storm, it was thankfully.
I know about Thanksgiving Day in America.
I had a cousin who lived in the U.S. for many years but have died in 2007.

Hello
Inside to wish you a good first Sunday in Advent with these words:

Life's four candles.
Slow burn the 4 light. Everything is so quiet that you can hear them talk to us.
The first candle said, "I am peace. People do not fit me, so I turn off soon"
Its flame was quickly reduced and the light died out.
... The second light said: "I am faithful. For the most part I am just a word that few know about. Therefore I have no desire to continue to burn"
While the light spoke, there came a v. .. in. ... breath and blew out the candle.
Then it was the third light's trip: "I am Love. I no longer have the strength to continue to burn. Men neglecting me. They have forgotten that they must love and honor each other" and the light did not wait long, but died out .
Then, with the one that came a little kid and saw the 3 extinguished the light. The child looked at them and said:
Why do they burn no more "?
When the lights had told the child the reason, the child began to cry.
Then answered the fourth light:
Do not be afraid. I am passionate yet and with me you can re-light the other candles, because I am "Hope"
With sparkling eyes took the baby 'Hope light "and with that she turned the other 3 lights.
Never let the flame of hope vanish in your life, and let every one of us appreciate, Hope - Fidelity - Peace - and love.
Make sure these lights never ♥ ♥ ♥
Hugs Hanne Bente ♥

Oh girl.........it is beautiful! and I feel your pain in the re-do. Last November, we had to re-build our master bath shower. What a hot mess!! and was so happy with it ... for awhile. Turns out the plumber didn't make the drain tall enough and when the tile man did his thing, there ended up being a slope to the drain. Which we thought we'd just get used to. Wrong! It's so hard to stand without almost falling so guess what? RE-DO. AGAIN. YUKYUKYUK. They start next week. I am miserable just thinking about it and all the mess it will make taking out tile again.......
Yours is beautiful. And completed!
Good Job!!

Love that gorgeous orchid - that looks like a nice bathroom to soak away in a hot bath. I just stumbled across your blog when I was over at beachcomber & have just signed up as your latest follower. I look forward to popping back for some more inspiration!
