Blogtopia

Blogtopia:
a place
 where everything is lovely,
even if it isn't,
and everyone is charming and supportive
and has written a little poem.

A bit of truth and humor written by Mise over at
PRETTY FAR WEST.

Makes me smile every time I read it.

Does anyone know the name of these flowers?
I photographed them in a Florida tree last spring
so they're, no doubt, something tropical.

UPDATE:
JoJo says these are blooms on a HongKong orchid tree, a lovely southern Florida tree. :)
Thanks, JoJo!

Well, these photos are certainly lovely, REALLY! Are they iris?

(And I know what she means, [and chuckled, too] but I also think there's a lot of reality out there in blog land. Folks who use their blogs to express the inexpressible in their lives, folks living out their hopes and dreams and hurts and sorrows, and sharing them in a community of other caring people. Don't you think so, too?)

Beautiful photos. The poem made me smile. Yes, we can find a blog that makes everything seem find or simply highlights beauty and we need those. However, some of my favorites are the ones that help me grow as a person.

I third the question: what are those flowers? I think I've seen them before...

Cute poem!

Are they a type of lily perhaps? With the tendrills? My garden book is at home. I'll look when I get there.

Lovely colour - are they rhododendrons? (You said they were on a tree).

I do not write poetry or even get poetry . . . but blogtopia sounds awesome.

I don't know the flowers but they're gorgeous, and I love your photos :)

I have not written a poem, but I hope I can qualify as a blogger anyhow :-)

I don't think these are rhododendrons (I have several), but I have no better suggestion. Lovely they were anyhow.

No, don't know the name...but it's so pretty!! The Blogtopia tribute is so true...sometimes I feel I know people like you through writing back and forth. Sometimes you exchange ideas more than friends you seldom see. Funny. I wonder if we saw each other on the street, if we would recognise each other?? We could have a bite to eat and verbally exchange comments...ha! Fun, huh?

That's a Hong Kong orchid tree, very lovely and gorgeous tree in South Florida. :-)
