Lisianthus & Limeade

Trader Joe has eluded me for years.
Yes, I've been a TJ virgin all my life...until yesterday.
He popped up in a mall in the newest West Des Moines development
and I couldn't wait to put a shiny red shopping cart in motion.

I came out with California peaches,
the dark chocolate lover's chocolate bar,
Jasmine green tea,
lisianthus,
and Trader Joe's French Market sparkling limeade
(LOVE the labels).

Perfect for an afternoon on the balcony
overlooking the waterway below.

Have you been to Trader Joe's?

never heard of it...probably not in Canada....but I will look in Spokane...our closest city. I love the limeade labels too. A good label can sell me almost anything....

Oh honey, I've been a fan of TJs since they made the change from Pronto Markets to Trader Joe's in the late 60s! I think the first one was in Pasadena, CA and I know that store is still open. Soon after my son was born in 1971, my husband and I bought our first home in Encino, CA. TJs was an easy walk from our front door. I'd put my son in his stroller and walk over to get what I needed (wanted).

When I moved to Florida, it broke my heart that there are NO TJs anywhere within our borders. When I visit my family in the Atlanta area, I always stop by TJs to stock up on my way home.

You're going to love discovering all the fabulous things they carry and their wine selection is awesome!

TJs was such an influence on my adventure into new and exciting flavors that I did not grow up with.

I am SO jealous, but also incredibly happy for you!

Hugs

Have been to TJ's, but never tried the limeade! This beautiful photo sure makes me want to, though.

Whole Foods. Central Market. No Trader Joe's. Looks lovely, but then, you chose those items. Probably means you are lovelier than the store.

I wish! Maybe we should start a campaign to get one here. (It worked with C&B, but took MANY years).

A small one opened about an hour away but I haven't been yet.

One of my favorite addictions!! I LOVE Trader Joe's!!! Their lemonade is good too. I even like their vitamins! The samplwe item of the day has started me n many things. Unfortunately, they are an hour away on either side of us. I make it a point to go once a month, if I can. Have fun shopping, Becky!!

No, I haven't made it to Trader Joe's yet--and I don't know when I will. I think I heard something about one opening up relatively nearby, though...

Thanks for stopping by. That photo was made our first day out--we went to Indiana and are currently in Nebraska. We drove through Des Moines...but didn't stop! We are country folks, and city driving is something we avoid as much as possible!

I must admit that I haven't a clue as to what Trade Joe is, but I'm sure it tastes nice. At least the photo with composition, colours and everything looked very exquisite.

PS Thank you for the comment! All of Norway now has square eyes after having watch Hurtigruten continuously for 5 days. BTW - guess where I'll spend my holiday ...
