Morning Mass

The peonies are falling all over themselves in Iowa, the weight of their blooms taking them to the ground. These are the last of them--the only way to hang onto them a little longer is to ask them to stand still for the camera.

Beautiful flowers. I love this shot, the shadows from the glasses form an elegant tracery.

My peonies are all gone now, and I'm sad. Dimple is right: it's a beautiful photo, graceful and dignified as the flowers.

The flowers are gorgeous, but I'm with Dimple, the play of the shadows between the stemware and the ironwork is stunning!

You come with some uniqueness everytime you post something in your blog...thats why your blog is so full of life and serenity.

The peony is named after Paeon a student of Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine and healing. Asclepius became jealous of his pupil.Zeus saved Paeon from the wrath of Asclepius by turning him into the peony flower.

Yes m happy...Leone is cute na? will post Benson's photos soon.

Peonies in flutes, amazing!!!

I didn't know that Country Home magazine is no longer being published. I just browse images from their site, which is still on duty. I'm sorry for your friend.

Many hugs!

I love this photo. The pale colour of the peonies give a feeling of calm. The red peonies in our garden are in full bloom and bring a splash of brightness at this season where we live in North East England.
